Will Sadhvi Prachi oblige PM Modi and attack Jeddah?

The lunatic fringe of Hindutva knows no bounds. They even want to target Jeddah or any other place of worship for the Muslims of the world and not just of Indian Muslims. Boko Haram rather than SIMI would be agitated over it. Talibans rather than the Kashmiri separatists would be offended. Muslims within India have never looked at pan Islamism as a refuge. They have been discreet to know that Kashmir problem is of freedom from India. They are resigned to their fate in India. They have paid with their life and limb, with decades of incarceration in prison and ignominy of bearing the untrue sobriquet of terrorists what for? For being Muslims! Why should the Muslims born and brought up in India have to go through intense agony for what they have not done. Why should the simple minded uncouth youth Himayat Baig be sentenced to undergo 5 death sentences and 6 life imprisonments for having not committed any crime like bombing German Bakery of Pune. He might have not even seen it in his life let alone having that much money to offer a cup of tea for him there. Even so the right wing Hindu groups and governments have conveniently shifted areas of pogroms to those areas where Muslims of India suffer more than their due. In every Amarnath yatra fracas be it for land or duration it is the Muslims within India who face the ire of the majority community. Madhya Pardesh, UP and Jammu, have records of violence against them as a fall out of the yatra in the far pavilions of pilgrims in the frozen border. 2015 pilgrimage is no exception. The hidden and intended target is obvious despite Sadhvi Prachi’s denying she does not want to take revenge on Indian Muslims she aims at larger Muslim world. “I meant those in Jeddah. Time will tell what kind of consequences they are going to face. We will give a befitting reply.” [1 It is manifested who will face the consequences, the people of India and not the people in Jeddah who do not pay a tuppence about what happens in India. It promptly made Omar Abdullah tweet: “Wow! A new low here. How do these people’s minds work this way? #shocked”. More shocked was his father Farooq when in 1989 Rubaiya rather than his daughter Safia was construed as the intended target and the exchange of prisoners in 1999 Kandhar fiasco. How “befitting” a reply can be? Will it be to the rune of post Godhra violence and casualties? Will it only be more bombs for pooja or bombs for Shab-e-barat? Post Godhra violence was also a premeditated revenge upon Muslims and PM AB Vajpayee knew it was a mistake—a mere mistake—"woh humare se galti hui hai (it was our mistake)."A statesman realizes his mistake and acknowledges it there and then, but a politician prevaricates. Prachi has a record of speaking intemperately. However the atmosphere of the very beginning of the Amarnath pilgrimage is polluted by her reacting far more outrageously. The majority of the people of Kashmir have not been violent. They have been eking out their existence by the spring fall of remuneration they get from the Hindu pilgrims or tourists. By making outrageous statements there is fear of more radicalizing of the people in the valley. That it would spin out of control and vitiate the atmosphere in the adjoining states is repeatedly experienced in recent history. In another border state Vajpayee’s anagnorisis or realization that post Godhra violence was a mistake has shown repeatedly how effete it was in the first place and now it is mockery. For the man whom he wanted to replace as CM of Gujarat is the PM of India. It is not Modi who is telling man ki baat or the language of his heart but his surrogates like Prachi. Once upon a time it were the Gujarat cops like KK Mysorewalla who said their man ki bat that on that day of February 28, 2002 there was order from above not to save the Muslims. AS Dulat’s book Kashmir—the Vajpayee Years makes no bones that the hijacked plane that landed in Amritsar could have been immobilized. That would have called the bluff of the hijackers and deadly Kashmiri militants, Masood Azhar, Omar Sheikh and Mushtak Ahmad Zargar would not have been exchanged in Kandahar 1999. But the negotiation unnecessarily dragged in ISI and Gen Musharraff: “…that General Pervez (Musharraf) had to have a hand in the hijacking. The reason one can say so with such certainty is that such an operation could not have been undertaken without ISI support…” It was Delhi’s [read Vajpayee and Advani] decision to surrender in Kandhar. Farooq Abdullah was firm: “I will not let this Kashmiri fellow (Zargar) go, he’s a killer. He will not be released.’’ [2]The same was orchestrated in 2002 in Goa conclave when Vajpayee instead of sacking praised Modi and gave in. Irrefutable is the revanchist position of Modi. He wanted to teach Muslim a lesson. It was by means of equal and opposite reaction. That was the archetypal revenge pattern. Prach is also following in its footstep. His adducing Newtonian third law to show Muslim their place once for all has spawned others to teach the same lesson. Notwithstanding all this, venturing into Myanmar was one thing but raiding the hijacked plane in a commando attack in Dubai as Dulat thought was another. America and Dubai were opposed to it. Prachi’s stirring out of India and taking revenge in Jeddah is not a Newtonian third law. One thing that is unmistakable was that Vajpayee was reacting to the loss in 2004 election. He was nonplussed and then lost in his musing at the question Dulat asked about the loss of power. : “Shayad hamare se Gujarat mein galati ho gayi. And then he got a bit serious and sad. I did not ask him anything further," remarked Dulat in his interview on India Today TV programme on July 2, 2015. [3]Vajpayee also had gone into musing as he travelled with Advani to Goa conclave of his party. Poets can muse but sadhvis in BJP rant. ------ [1] http://indianexpress.com/article/india/india-others/sadhvi-again-if-amarnath-yatris-are-harmed-haj-pilgrims-will-face-consequences/ [2] http://indianexpress.com/article/india/india-others/india-wanted-to-raid-ic-814-in-dubai-farooq-opposed-swap-ex-raw-chief-dulat/99/#sthash.77ry9Kif.dpuf [3] http://www.firstpost.com/india/vajpayees-regret-on-2002-gujarat-riots-to-flubbed-ic-814-hijacking-ex-raw-chief-dulat-reveals-all-in-new-book-2324842.html
