Malegaon bomb blasts 2006 and 2008, a reflection (1)

Chapter: conspiracy
Speaking to the reporters of Indian Express in his humble but curious son-of-the-soil consternation a power loom worker Nihal Ahmed said “these blasts (of September 8, 2006) have completely broken our spirit. We had our differences, fought and made up with our Hindu brothers. But these blasts were beyond all of us. These were planned by a big player and he succeeded in giving us a fight.”
The task before the investigation agencies, the government and the people is to lift the veil from the face of the ‘big player’. Let us begin with two working hypotheses. One, he is Dawood Ibrahim and he wants to harm us. What we have on this so far is what he did in 1993 which does not have any bearing on what happened in Malegaon 2006 and2008. Serial bomb blasts of March 12, 1993 had its provenance in December 1992 and January 1993 post Babri mosque demolition violence and massacre. However, Lt Col Shrikant Purohit has claimed that he had alerted the authorities of secret visit of Dawood Ibrahim to Malegaon in 2005. This has no logical basis as the don knows as we do very well that it would surely mean death to him unless he has dug a tunnel from Islamabad to Malegaon! Ipso facto the liaison officer of the military intelligence dealing with anti-terrorism may be making his case for the future that he was a patriot, albeit an ultra nationalist, so the he would be absolved somewhere in the course of court proceedings.
Two, the other hypothesis is that Purohit did steal 60 kilos of RDX from the army. He stored it in his house in Pune as well as at his official headquarters in Deolali. He gave it for use in the case of Malegaon blasts of 2006 when non Wahabis were used as agents of Abhinav Bharat, in Samjhauta express attack, as well as Malegaon 2008 bombing. He it was who was at the railway station dispatching RDX to the Bajang dal activists of Nanded. Addressing him sir and calling him Mithun Chakerborty Himanshu Panse and his associates used that consignment and blew themselves up in the night of April 4, 2006. There was also an explosion on April 14 at Jama masjid in old Delhi. Ajmer dargah and Mecca mosque of Hyderbad are all connected to this group under Purohit.
There is a much larger ramification of all these incidents. Were the left over RDX and the arms originating from Jammu and Kashmir seized on May 10, 2006 on a road from Malegaon to Aurangabad used to frame Muslim youths of Aurangabad and Malegaon? This is not mere surmise because there is a sentence that Superintendent of Police (rural) Rajwardhan had got Abrar Ahmed accused in 2006 Malegaon blasts say on a phone from a public booth. The cop also arranged for Purohit to hear it as well as Abrar. That prompted according to the affidavit of Abrar Purohit to declare and welcome him (Abrar as a state witness. This sentence of Abrar is now ascribed to Zahid Ahmed whom the police are presenting as one of the planters of the 2006 bombs. The sentence is allegedly a taunt that they have taken as much of it as they liked. Was it the RDX they had taken?
As this is a working hypothesis it needs to be studied vis-à-vis the first. Moreover the cases regarding the arms haul and the blasts in Malegaon as well as the serial blasts in the local trains of July 11, 2006 in Mumbai are related. If the Muslims are proved perpetrators they would be punished by the court. But the million dollar question is what if they are not as the startling discoveries regarding Ajmer and Mecca mosque and Samjhauta express attacks indicate!

As we do not have much on the first hypothesis there is some on the second hypothesis with some degree of certainty in the logical sequence.
Unraveling the conspiracy is a humongous task because its larger implication involving national security of the country. The laptop of Purohit was found missing at Panchmarhi, Madhya Pardesh subsequent to his arrest. Ultimately it was found out and has details of huge financial transaction over the execution of the Malegaon blasts, how and to whom the money was distributed to the different members of the Abhinav Bharat. For example Samir Kulkarni was paid Rs 5000 monthly, a regular salary. There must have been scores of such regularly paid accounts. Details must be there. ( For cops, Lt Col Purohit's laptop is Pandora's Box, Rediff, November 13, 2008) How many youths were trained in bomb making, etc. what are the details of around 500 trained in arms and bomb making, their identities, addresses and their missions. If the assembled bombs were not meant for pooja according to KP Raghuvanshi where are they? How much had Ajay Rahirkar obtained from hawala channl and from whom and to whom it was distributed? How much Rahirkar gave to Rakesh Dawde to purchase 6 imported guns? Where are they? Against whom have they been used or were meant to be used?

If so many questions are raised by the laptop of the army man what about the laptop of the ‘god man’, Dayanand Pandey of the Sharda Sarvagya Peeth, @ Sadhu Amritnand. Why did he breakdown when he came to know that the laptop was accessed and his secrets would be known? Does it also contain clippings on Abrar Ahmed who claims in his affidavit to judge YD Shinde submitted on April 18 2009 that a video shooting was done when he was received by Pandey in Indore in 2006, in Ujjain as well as the meetings of the Abhinav Bharat in Bhopal and the Bhonsla Military School?

The other source of mining information is the confession of Purohit and his narco test analysis and what he said during that.
